Bumblebees are different from honeybees – they don’t pack honey in the wall and they live in a softball size nest with about 20 other bees. In the fall, the queen bumblebee leaves to hibernate and starts a new colony somewhere else the following year.
Bumblebees usually only nest in the same place for a season. If they aren’t bothering you, consider leaving them until the fall so they can do their work of visiting flowers …in the spring they will have moved on 🐝
