Mean! Bees become very defensive in the winter and will do a number on any soul unfortunate enough to disturb them. They don’t typically fly out a lot until they get warmed up, but they will sting if touched!
In the winter, they usually just stay in a big clump around the queen to keep her warm, but when their hive is being messed with, they will aggressively defend their honey and queen. This behavior usually subsides when the weather starts to warm up.
